One Direction May Stay Together For Only Two More Albums, Says Simon Cowell (VIDEO)
We hate to break it to you, but it might not be long now before the boys of One Direction move in different directions.
Simon Cowell, the reality competition puppeteer who brought the gents together on the UK version of The X Factor, says the band might only have two more albums in it.
"Bands don't stay together forever," Simon tells Daily Star. "I think they will make at least two more albums together, and they are in the middle of one right now."
In other words, it's the beginning of the end! Start stockpiling your 1D posters and magazine covers in your fallout shelter now.
But Simon might have his math wrong. After all, TMZpreviously cited sources who said that the Brit boys are still under contract for three more albums. That was back in February, and we haven't seen an album release since then.
In April, we heard 1D was working on their next album, which would be their fourth — following previous releases Up All Night, Take Me Home, and Midnight Memories. (We're sensing a definite late-night theme here.)
So the moral of the story is this: Fans still have a lot of One Direction to look forward to, but all teeny-bopping must come to an end.
