Melissa and Joe Gorga Sell New Jersey Mansion For $3.8 Million, Plan New “Dream Home”

It looks like congratulations are in order, Real Housewives of New Jersey fans! According to Us Weekly, Melissa and Joe Gorga successfully sold their Montville Township, N.J. mansion for the full asking price of $3.8 million.

The reality couple put their home on the market in May 2012 and after more than a year of trying to unload the property, they’re finally going to be able to move out.

According to Us Weekly, the home features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, four fireplaces, and a three-car garage.

We’ve been waiting for this moment since Melissa claimed she wanted to move to get away from sister-in-law Teresa Giudice during the Season 4 Reunion of RHoNJ last year. But now that there appears to be peace between the families, we think Joe and Melissa are moving for their own personal reasons.

The Gorgas have already purchased new property in Franklin Lakes, N.J. and have plans to build a new home this fall. Until their new mansion is ready, they’ll be renting a place nearby.

“I feel like this was meant to be. It happened just in time for the kids to start their first of day of school," Melissa tells Us. "It's going to be a lot of work designing and building the new home, but Joe is an incredible builder and I'm excited to go back to where we started our family."

Joe, a developer, is also excited for this new project. “This is what I love to do,” he said. “I can’t wait to begin building another dream home for my family.”

And all this news comes on the couple’s 9-year wedding anniversary! How sweet!
