Melissa Rycroft’s Candid Dating Advice to Her Kids (VIDEO)

It's an exciting time for Melissa Rycroft, the gorgeous Season 13 mama who just gave birth to her second child on April 20. Son Beckett Thomas Strickland joined big sister Ava Grace, 3, and it sounds like Mel is already thinking about her little ones' future spouses!

We'd think it was totally cray for her to talk about her infant and toddler's dating lives, but given her Bachelor pedigree, it's totally understandable. The already svelte Mel sat down with a journalist from Entertainment Tonight at her Dallas homestead to talk about the advice she's going to pass down to her kids, when it comes time for them to hit the dating world.

Although her own love life turned out awesome, with old friend Ty Strickland becoming the father of her gorgeous children, and her handsome husband, things weren't always so great for the 31-year-old. And no, we're not even talking about the post-finale Jason Mesnick drama. Melissa confesses in this video clip that she wishes her parents had "shaken her" a little when she was younger, and reminded her of what a strong, independent person she was.

In her early 20s, the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader admits, she was too serious about trying to nail down the career, house, and 2.5 children she thought she was supposed to aim for, and didn't enjoy her single life. So, when it's time for her kids to date, she has some very specific advice for them, especially Ava. Check out the video clip above and hear what Melissa wants to make sure her darling daughter and sweet son hear when they're ready to accept those roses...
