Men of the Strip Star Nate Estimada Dies at Age 24 — What Happened?

UPDATE (6/22): Multiple sources told TMZ that Nate was suffering from depression before his suicide. It was clear to observers that something was wrong with him during his final performance in Boston last Friday, but he was apparently not willing to talk about it with his co-stars. One of his close friends, another dancer, told the rest of the cast that Nate had been getting treatment for his depression, and he was just having a rough time in general.

The toxicology results, which have not yet been revealed, will show if any drugs were in Nate's system.

It's heartbreaking to hear this young man was in so much pain that he took his own life. Hopefully he is now finally at peace.

Original story (6/21):

Sad news has emerged from the world of reality TV as Nate Estimada, the 24-year-old star of E!'s Men of the Strip, has died.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Nate died on June 18 in Los Angeles County. He was a performer in the Men of the Strip all-male revue show in Vegas and appeared on the two-hour E! reality special about the show on June 1. His nickname was the Midknight Cowboy.

TMZ reports that Nate's death was a suicide and that he drove his Mustang off of a cliff in a mountainous area of L.A. According to a law enforcement source, toxicology tests will determine if any drugs were in his system.

A rep for the show released a statement on the Men of the Strip Facebook page. "Management & cast of Men of the Strip is extremely saddened at the loss of one of our own," reads the statement. "We are heartbroken at the loss of our brother and friend and send our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends and fans. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this time."

Jeff Timmons, the 98 Degrees member who created Men of the Strip, paid his respects to Nate in an Instagram message. "R.I.P. @midknightcowboy Nate you are incredible," Jeff wrote on June 21.

Our thoughts go out to Nate and his loved ones during this very difficult time.

Offer your condolences in the comments section.
