Summer might be over but Michael Strahan’s Good Morning America career is just starting.

The former Live! With Kelly host made his full-time debut on the ABC morning show today, September 6.

Although things were sub-zero shady between Michael and Kelly Ripa during his Live departure, the ex-athlete got a warm welcome from his new co-hosts, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.

The show opened with George welcoming Michael back to the GMA set, although the crowd didn’t exactly go wild over the news.

“Come on now,” Robin yelled, inciting some real cheers.

The Super Bowl champ wasn’t one to turn down the love, joking, “Be quiet,” while gesturing for the applause to continue.

Robin enjoyed her TV pal’s little display, as she admitted, “It is great to have you full-time with us. It does feel like the first day of school with us”

Michael agreed, noting he’s missing just one thing — and he didn’t say “Kelly Ripa.”

The former Giants player wasn’t the only ABC daytime host celebrating a big change, as correspondent Sara Haines heads to TV’s longest running roller coaster: The View.

“We’re talking about my first day being here, but today’s a big day for you,” Michael told Sara, 38. “You are now a co-host of The View.”

“Are you ready for Whoopi [Goldberg] and Joy [Behar]?” George asked of the bold veterans.

“Who’s ever ready for Whoopi and Joy?” Sarah responded.

Considering the number of View casualties over the years, that’s actually a great question.
