Migos Refused to Perform With Drag Queens on ‘SNL’ — Report

Migos has found themselves in hot water over perceived homophobia in the past, with their recent SNL appearance with Katy Perry drawing even more concern.

The Atlanta rap trio reportedly refused to perform their “Bon Appetit” collaboration alongside Katy’s hired drag queens, and are being called out for the reported prejudice.

World of Wonder, the production company that commissioned several of the drag queens to perform with Katy on SNL, claimed on their website that while the queens were present for her latest release, “Swish, Swish,” Migos refused to perform alongside them, according to PAPER.

One source claiming to work at SNL backed up these claims, saying the “Bad & Boujee” rappers held up rehearsals because they “weren’t comfortable with the drag queens being there.”

A drag queen who chose to remain anonymous claims several of them rehearsed with Katy for three days and expected to be featured in both performances.

Instead, they were told to leave the day of filming and were disinvited to Katy’s after-party because Migos would be there and would be uncomfortable.

“On the day of the filming, when I got there, I was told to leave. I wasn’t on the set at the time, but we were asking what happened. They said it was because Migos doesn’t feel comfortable with having drag queens there.”

It should be noted however that World of Wonder has since deleted the accusatory post from their website.

The trio faced accusations of homophobia in February when “Tuesday” singer iLoveMakonnen came out as gay.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Offset said so many people supported the singer “because the world is f—ked up,” with Takeoff and Quavo agreeing with that sentiment.
