Watch out Mike Myers, you’ve got some serious comedic competition! The 51-year-old funnyman recently paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman where he not only debuted photos of his two kids — almost 3-year-old son Spike, and 4-month-old daughter, Sunday Molly — but he revealed that his son is already “super funny!”
The proud father shared some funny anecdotes about his little boy, including one about Spike’s comedic nature. “You know when comedians, if you do something funny, they don’t really laugh, they kind of go, ‘That’s funny,’ Mike explains. “He goes — I did this thing where I pretend to fall down — and he went, ‘Funny Dada, really funny.’”
What’s more, Spike is even a jokester when it comes to his little sister, Sunday. "When Sunday came home, he was like, 'Oh, this is great. Is she staying here?' I said yeah," Mike recalls. "I said, ‘Spike, one day, Sunday will be your best friend.’ And he said, 'We'll see.'"
Mike and his wife, Kelly Tisdale, tied the knot back in 2010. A year later, the couple welcomed Spike into the world and the Austin Powers actor has never been happier.
“Anyone who tells you fatherhood is the greatest thing that can happen to you, they are understating it,” he said. “I am the happiest I have ever been in my life,” Mike previously dished to Deadline. “I knew I wanted to be a father. I didn’t know it was going to be this awesome or that my kid would come out so beautiful and lovely.” How sweet!
Here’s hoping little Sunday will turn out just like her father and big bro. Looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
