Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has had plenty of ups and downs documented on camera, and now he’s back for more! The reality TV star, who just turned 32 on Independence Day, has a new project in the works and we’ve got all the details!
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which you can watch for yourself above, The Situation talks two very personal topics: his family and his struggle with addiction. Mike, of course, checked into rehab back in 2012 for a “prescription medication problem” he said he had “due to exhaustion.”
“You know, some of the parts I didn’t understand was how it affected some of the loved ones because I had supported the family for a very long time,” he explains. “I was like, ‘I’m making the money,’ and then once I realize that it wasn't about money, it was about family — you know, it’s about my life.”
With his family behind him, Mike faced his demons but that doesn’t mean the rollercoaster ride is over. A fight allegedly broke out between Mike and his brother, Frank, in mid-June at the family’s tanning salon in Middletown, New Jersey. Hear what the Situation had to say about that situation by watching the video!
The Sorrentinos premieres at 10 p.m. July 15 on TVGN.
