Miley Cyrus on Cory Monteith, Haters, Gender: “I Feel Like a Straight Man”

Miley Cyrus looks, sounds and acts different than even a year ago, never mind her Hannah Montana days. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said she was secretly this person back when she was Hannah Montana but she felt she couldn't break out because she had to show respect to Disney.

Now she's promoting "We Can't Stop" and talking about how she gets her drive from people who criticize her. “Haters keep me mad motivated," she said. "People that are, I guess, jealous, that kind of just hate on me, make me want to do even better.”

The ET reporter said she's the most mature he's ever seen her, from the many times he's interviewed her. Is she a woman now? "I'm of age. So, I suppose. I'm legal," she joked. Does she feel like a woman? “I feel like a straight dude. You don’t even know what I’m rocking under this skirt. I feel like a straight man. I’m not even a dude, I’m a man. That's why my voice is like this [deep and raspy].” Ha!

All jokes aside, Miley also talked about the death of Glee star Cory Monteith. She told ET she's a bit skeptical of some of the celeb support shared on Twitter. "I know that Cory had a foundation that he was interested in doing, and they put that out and said, you know, if you want to be part of that make sure you donate to that. And people so quickly go trend things on Twitter, but they don't actually go push the button that's actually helping."

So she's challenging her fellow celebs to push the button and donate money instead of just sharing the link with their followers.

Miley still can't be tamed — and in this case, good for her for pushing people to act instead of just talk!
