Miley Cyrus Tells Matt Lauer “Things Go Less Sexual” After 40

Miley Cyrus is a lot of things. She’s a singer, a songwriter, a dancer, a showman, a lover of foam fingers, a sticker outer of tongues, and a somewhat talented actress. Among those, however, you’ll note the absence of “sex expert.” That’s because Miley just proved on The Today Show with Matt Lauer on Monday morning to know next to nothing about sex.

It all started with a simple question from Matt asking Miley how long she plans to keep flaunting her “sexual side” on stage and in her videos before she moves on to something else. The 20-year-old’s affinity for twerking and wearing less and less clothing each time we see her obviously prompted the question to which Miley guesstimated that she may start to settle down around 40, because “I heard that when you turn 40, things start to go a little less sexual.”

This, of course, came as quite a shock to the 55-year-old Lauer, who cracked a huge smile before informing Miley of his age. Her shaking foot and darting eyes said to us that she pretty much knew she was in hot water, responding quickly, “Well then you’re really, definitely, not sexual.”

It sounds like the message she was trying to get across is that it will be up to her when she feels comfortable going in another direction, but for now, wearing crop tops, high-waisted booty shorts, and thigh-high stilettos is her bag, so we say that as long as she can pull it off, go for it! Whether the part about sex is true or not, we wouldn’t want to see anyone over 40 wearing anything of the sort. Well, Madonna gets a pass, obviously.
