How would Kristen Stewart have been as Anastasia Steele in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film? We're getting a glimpse at what might have been.
Miley Cyrus hosted Saturday Night Live on October 5, 2013, and one of the sketches during her episode involved impersonations of unlikely celebrities auditioning for the lead roles in Fifty Shades.
Miley played Scarlett Johannson, and she accurately captured her raspy voice and low-energy vibe. Other celebs who were lampooned were Emma Stone, Rebel Wilson, and Seth Rogen.
But one of the more unflattering portrayals of the skit was that of Twilight star Kristen Stewart, who appears to grab some shut-eye during the audition.
The sketch involves impersonations of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Kristen as they both supposedly audition for the film. "She's asleep?" asks Philip Seymour Hoffman in the sketch. "Hello, little girl."
Ouch! Sure, Kristen is often laid-back, but she's not so laid-back that she'd fall asleep during an audition. We don't think.
Kristen was actually seen as some Fifty Shades fans' top pick for Anastasia, in part because the sexy book started out as Twilight fan fiction. Instead, the actual role went to Dakota Johnson.
Let us know what you thought of Miley's episode, and whether you were fit to be tied that the show was picking on K-Stew.
