Did you get what you wanted from Miley Cyrus on Saturday Night Live?
Right in her SNL cold open, Miley mocked her controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance, and poked fun at her old self (personified by usual bubbly Miley portrayer Vanessa Bayer), but she didn’t cover any of the newer stuff, like her breakup with ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth or her new feud with Sinead O’Connor. She basically kept to safe subjects, making fun of herself and the *horror* of the public at her VMAs display.
In her monologue, Miley said she wouldn’t do any twerking that night. “I used to think twerking was cool, but now that white people are doing it, it seems kind of lame.” She also said she wouldn’t apologize for her VMAs performance. "If I owe anyone anybody an apology it's the people who make the bottom halves of shirts."
And in case you’re wondering if she really has moved on from her Disney past, she added, "There are a few subjects we're not going to get into tonight. I'm not going to do Hannah Montana, but I can give you an update on what she's been up to: She was murdered."
But at least Liam was safe. So if he was ever really worried she’d poke fun at him, he can sleep easy now.
