Ever feel like you need a quick reminder of the evolution of Miley Cyrus? We do too, and thankfully the internet delivered! We recently came across a snappy five-minute video that tells the story of the Girl Who Twerked — in song!

Created by YouTuber Zoe Anne, the video takes Miley’s most famous songs and mixes up the lyrics to cover the almost 21-year-old’s major life events. The result is equal parts completely terrifying and extremely catchy.

We begin with “Best of Both Worlds,” a hit from Miley’s Hannah Montana days (remember those?). Zoe sings: “I’ve got my own TV show / I play a pop star who lies to the nation / Having two lives is a little two-faced / But it’s cool because I’m making shed loads of money.”

Then on to “Nobody’s Perfect” and a shout-out to Miley’s early love affair with a fellow musician — “Nick Jonas came along / At 14 our love was strong / But we can’t do anything / Not until I get my ring” — and her anti-smoking ways — “No cigarettes for me / It’ll wreck my voice you see.” Oh how times have changed.

We get “See You Again” and a look at that Annie Leibowitz topless, wrapped-in-bedsheet photo that had everyone clutching their pearls back in 2008. “Can’t Be Tamed” introduces a new, fiercer Miley who doesn’t “care what parents say / 'cause I’m bad like that,” a perfect prelude to “We Can’t Stop” and lyrics like “look like Ellen now I’ve cut my hair / Don’t buy me a bra, 'cause I’m going bare.”

The grand finale is, of course, “Wrecking Ball” with Zoe putting her hair in buns, baring her shoulders, and bringing in a sledgehammer to give the video the fully Miley Cyrus effect. She even offers up an explanation for Miley’s split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth: “I am no longer engaged / I had an affair with a giant bear / Got caught and now Liam is outraged.”

There’s so much more we could say about this video but it just wouldn’t do it justice. Watch the whole thing below and let us know what you make of it.
