Considering how much Miley Cyrus boosted MTV's profile during her twerktastic turnout at the 2013 Video Music Awards, it's only fitting that MTV repay the favor and honor the Bangerz singer with an eight-hour Miley-themed programming block on her 21st birthday — this Saturday, November 23.

It all starts off at 12 p.m. ET with 21 Candles: Miley's MTV Moments, which — according to an MTV press release — will enumerate the 21 reasons why we love Miley, replay some of her best MTV moments, and air birthday wishes from her fans (including those who are famous).

During that half-hour special, Miley herself will comment on some of her pivotal MTV moments, including a June 2008 appearance on TRL during which the then-16-year-old was, ahem, less than honest when a fan asked if she'd ever get a tattoo.

"I am, like, freakishly afraid of needles," Miley said at the time, as you can see in the clip below. "I guess I would do it for, like, my parents."

Present-day Miley sings a different tune, however: "I was lying. I actually always knew I was gonna get tattoos … I just don't like shots. And, like, the doctor's office is just cold. It's much more cozy in a tattoo parlor."

After that special, MTV will broadcast a "deluxe edition" of its documentary Miley: The Movement — and then have the pop superstar introduce episodes of Awkward and Snooki and JWOWW.

So, your plans for Saturday are set. No need to leave the house.
