If you ask us, Miley Cyrus's AMAs performance — in which she sang next to a giant lip-synching cat — was mankind's greatest achievement. Yes, it was even better than the Renaissance. But apparently, not everyone agrees, including a certain American Idol winner.
Miley has certainly taken plenty of flak for her surprising performances this year, and you can add one more dig to the list, as Jimmy Fallon Live's Thanksgiving episode parodied Miley's AMAs moment.
Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood appeared on Jimmy's show on November 28, where she sang a parody version of "Wrecking Ball." Behind her was the same cat that Miley had used, except that it was wearing a pilgrim hat.
"You made me cook a butterball/And then a green bean casserole," Carrie sang in place of the actual words for the chorus of "Wrecking Ball."
"And all you did was sit and watch/And ignored all of your family, all your family," Carrie continued.
So what did you think of the new version? Granted, we can see why Miley might not have a problem with the parody, since the Thanksgiving-centric lyrics don't really have anything to do with Miley herself. Plus, Jimmy had parodied other songs during the episode, including "Get Lucky" and "I Don't Care."
Do you think Miley will be bothered by this new rendition?
