Demi Lovato may have already said her piece about Joe Jonas’s recent tell-all essay — you know, after he shared a few too many details about their personal relationship — and now, Miley Cyrus is stepping up to the plate.
In his essay, Joe wrote that Demi and Miley pressured him into trying weed for the first time, but Miley’s calling shenanigans on that one.
“If you want to smoke weed, you’re going to smoke weed,” Miley said in a new interview with The New York Times. “There’s nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don’t want to do. I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look badass.”
Miley’s got a point. The way Joe tells it, Miley and Demi would have been around 14 years old when the weed incident happened. This totally brings to mind an image of Hannah Montana pressuring someone into doing drugs. Let that sink in.
“We were so young that it was actually like, ‘How did you get peer pressured by me?’” Miley added.
Not that Miley’s really bothered by the fact that Joe revealed her penchant for pot began much earlier than we all originally suspected.
“Even then I didn’t care,” she said. “Like, if someone was videoing me ripping a bong, I didn’t care, so it’s just funny to me.”
