Miley Cyrus hasn’t been smiley lately, and it’s all because she lost a beloved member of her family: her dog Floyd. The Bangerz singer was torn up about her pup’s April 1 passing, and when she took the stage on Wednesday (April 2), it became clear that she isn’t over the tragedy.
At her Boston concert, Miley dedicated a song to her late Alaskan Klee Kai pup — and things got pretty emotional. What song did Miley sing in his honor? Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” of course.
“It’s gonna be hard for me to sing this next song. I’m not sounding myself, I don’t feel myself,” Miley said, getting super emotional. "I'm sure you guys already know, but the reason that I'm so upset is my dog. I shouldn't say he was my favorite, but he was my favorite, and he passed away. I just want to do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together. This is his favorite song…so I wanna do this song for Floyd. This song is 'Landslide.'"
Miley powered through the tearful ballad like a pro and mustered up a “thank you guys so much” as her fans applauded.
