Miley Cyrus has had a rough couple of weeks, with her tour, the loss of her beloved dog Floyd, and figuring out her feelings about her new pup Moonie — and it looks like all those stressors have finally added up! TMZ reports that the "Adore You" singer has canceled her Charlotte, North Carolina appearance at Time Warner Cable Arena just 30 minutes before the concert was scheduled to start. Miley's rep confirmed that the flu was to blame for her absence. Fans with tickets are being turned away, but refunds will be issued.
Last night, Miley took to Twitter with a cryptic update: "excruciating pain." We assumed that it was about Floyd, especially considering the posts before that were about her and her dogs coming to terms with their loss — but maybe it wasn't all about the emotional pain. But man, getting the flu on top of all that? Talk about adding insult to injury!
Miley has another show scheduled in North Carolina tomorrow, in Raleigh, and TMZ reports that she should be able to make that appearance.
She has a long tour ahead of her still — she'll be traveling across the country for the rest of the month, then hits Europe in May — so let's hope she feels better soon! Stock up on that Vitamin C, buddy.
