Update (April 18, 2014, 9:45 p.m. ET):
Just in case you're wondering exactly when the Bangerz tour will once again be a "Party in the U.S.A.," Miley Cyrus's reps have confirmed to Gossip Cop that the US leg of the tour is entirely postponed until August 1. They do, however, intend to keep all their European dates, which begin May 2.
Update (April 17, 2014, 5:07 p.m. ET):
Miley has had it up to here with all the rumors flying about why she’s still in the hospital and so tweeted the official statement we heard earlier today. “Let me heal. Stop scaring my family, friends, & fans,” she writes along with a choice expletive. Get better soon, Miles!
Update (April 17, 2014, 6:45 a.m. ET):
Bad news, Bangerz concertgoers: Miley will have to cancel tonight’s St. Louis show.
Unfortunately, our favorite twerker has yet to be released from the hospital — and according to what her rep tells E! News, it could be awhile. Miley reacted badly to the antibiotic she was prescribed for a sinus infection, and the doctors aren’t sure how long it’ll be before she’s well.
“This type of extreme reaction can last from 5 to 27 days in these types of cases,” her rep says. “She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”
Oh no! Don’t worry about disappointing anyone, Miley — just worry about feeling better!
Original story (April 15, 2014):
Cyrus down! Our girl Miley’s in the hospital after a reportedly severe allergic reaction to medicine, reports TMZ.
She was all set to perform in Kansas City this evening, only to have to cancel the tour stop when things took a nasty turn for the worse, after what we’re hearing is a bad reaction to antibiotics. Miley was supposedly already at the arena, and had spent the afternoon shopping with her mom, so the reaction sounds to have been a sudden one.
As anyone who’s been following Ms. Miley knows, girlfriend’s been battling bug after bug as she keeps the show going on her Bangerz tour. She just passed the two-month mark on the road and unfortunately, it looks to be taking its toll. She had to cancel her concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, just last week because of illness.
Miles is keeping her spirits up though, sharing a playful photo from her hospital bed. “Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me,” she tweeted earlier this afternoon alongside a photo of herself sans makeup and propped up in a hospital gown.
Earlier she shared a tweet for all her disappointed and worried fans. “Kansas I promise Im as [broken heart emoji] as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s—ttier than I already do,” she wrote.
Girl, don’t even worry. We just want you back up to Bangerz shape!
