Miley Cyrus had to take a break from her bangin' lifestyle after she had a severe allergic reaction to a prescribed medication and gave us all a good scare. After sharing photos of herself in a hospital gown, breathing through an oxygen mask, and all around looking really under the weather, Miley’s finally out of the hospital and back home. Her first order of business? Call Ryan Seacrest.
“I’m doing good,” the “Can’t Stop” singer tells Ryan and his radio show crew. “I’m much better — happy to be on the phone with you guys, happy to be getting back on the road. You have no idea.”
We don’t, but we do know Miley’s been miserable. She’s tweeted about being “sick of waking up to needles” and how she can’t “quit crying.” “I’m meant to be onstage performing for y’all…. not laying in a hospital bed.”
But she’s back and ready for action. “So basically I had gotten sick while I was on the road,” she told Ryan, explaining she took some doctor-prescribed meds to get her better only to have them backfire completely. “On the sixth day, I just woke up … it was so scary … I had basically been poisoning myself for a week with something I didn’t know I was really scary allergic to.”
That wasn’t even the worst part, though. Miles says she was “begging the doctors” to let her perform. “I would feel good … [and ask doctors] ‘Can I go? Can I get back on the stage?’ That was the hardest part.”
Now Miley’s nearly back to 100 percent and heading to Europe before coming back to the U.S. to finish up her tour. Take care of yourself, girl!
