Was Miley Cyrus's Tongue Obsession Inspired By These Famous Faces? (PHOTOS)
It seems like Miley Cyrus can't keep her mouth shut these days — and we're not just talking about her candid opinions on party drugs, or her scandalous song lyrics. The 20-year-old Bangerz singer has been channeling her inner lizard for months now, but everyone's getting it tongue-twisted by giving Miley all of the credit for starting the gaping mouth gesture.
The Rolling Stones are famous for their tongue and lips logo, which was designed by Andy Warhol for their 1971 Sticky Fingers album cover art. That's 21 years before Miley was even born and 42 years before her infamous tongue-tastic VMA performance. Heck, even Albert Einstein was posing for photos with his tongue out back in the — gasp — black and white days, and we're pretty sure that E=mc squared does not stand for Miley Cyrus.
Miley already admitted that her open-mouth photos are getting old, so before she retires the age-old look completely, click through the gallery to see some of her best tongue pics from the past few months.
Do you think Miley's tongue obsession was inspired by a rock band, other pop singers, or even a scientist? Give the gallery a lick, ahem, look, and then weigh in below!
