For those who haven’t heard, Miley Cyrus is really sick. And we don’t mean “sick” as in “cool.” Like, “hospitalized and sharing photos of herself wearing an oxygen mask” sick.
Miley hasn’t fared well over the last couple of months as the hardships of a national tour and the rigors of pop stardom began to take its toll. First, she canceled a show in Charlotte, North Carolina, after coming down with the flu. Then she gave up her new pup Moonie while still dealing with the death of her beloved doggie Floyd. Most recently, she wound up in the hospital in Kansas City after a nasty allergic reaction.
Prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin for a sinus infection, Miley came down sick suddenly last week and had to cancel her show in St. Louis. She’s since had to postpone all of her US concert dates until August 1 with her rep explaining this kind of reaction “can last from 5 to 27 days.” She does appear to be set for her European dates though, starting May 2.
Miley’s been keeping us up to date on her status throughout, sharing a photo of her in a hospital bed the first night she was admitted and since tweeting messages like “sick of waking up to needles #goingthruit #floydfriday.”
Her latest photo shows poor Miles in an oxygen mask, most likely related to the “breathing treatments” she’s mentioned. Get well soon, girl! Our world is a lot less bangin' without you.
