That clicking sound you hear is thousands of censors and pixelation-experts submitting their resumes to NBC. The Peacock Network is airing a primetime special dedicated to hypersexualized pop star Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour is an "unprecedented" two-hour program putting viewers in the audience and behind the scenes of the 21-year-old's concerts in Barcelona and Lisbon, per NBC's press release.
The special will air on Sunday, July 6, from 9 to 11 p.m. ET/PT.
"There are few recording artists with the global success achieved by Miley Cyrus," said NBC Entertainment exec Paul Telegdy. "This unique special will offer an exclusive peek on how she engages with her crew and fans at one of her hugely popular concerts."
The "Adore You" singer is currently enjoying a month off from the tour — having completed 55 shows since February. She'll resume with a North American leg in August before moving on to Latin America and Oceania, finally wrapping up around Halloween.
And yes, it has been headline-grabbing — between her spitting on the crowd, her Selena Gomez disses, her liplock with Katy Perry, her marijuana thong onesie, her simulated oral sex with a Bill Clinton lookalike, and her microphone-to-crotch dance moves.
NBC might not know what hit them!
