Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovich Is Pregnant! Resident Evil Delays Filming

Update (August 18, 2014):

Ask and ye shall receive! Milla and husband Paul Anderson are expecting their second child! She shared the happy news on her Facebook, explaining that the pregnancy will delay filming on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

"After a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait til the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie," she writes. "I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes."

Amen to that! And congratulations!

Original story (August 8, 2014):

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, when Dazed and Confused’s then-16-year-old Milla Jovovich was the guitar-playing Michelle Burroughs, who sported bell-bottoms like nobody’s business.

Fast-forward to today: The 38-year-old Resident Evil actress is happily married to director Paul W. S. Anderson and the doting mother to 6-year-old daughter Ever.

While it feels like we haven’t heard from Milla in a minute, she has a lot going on right now. Aside from the possibility of reprising her role for the Resident Evil: The Final Chapter film, Milla is planning on doing some family improvement: in the form of having more babies.

"I want to have a baby, and that is my number one priority. If I don't do it now, it will get more difficult the older I get," Milla reveals to Britain's HELLO! magazine (via CTV News). "Ever is always talking about how much she wants to be a big sister. I have to do it before she is too old to enjoy it. I don't have all the time in the world to think about it."

Milla welcomed her first child Ever back in 2007, and has been selective on the type of work she does. "I have been saying no to everything. There is talk of doing another Resident Evil at the end of next year, but I don't want to do anything before that,” Milla admits. “I'm happy being a stay-at-home mum. Mum world is amazing."

Milla goes on to add, "When I'm home I'm not feeling any anxiety or stress over work, I'm a different person. My relationship with my husband becomes closer, too, when I'm relaxed, and that is really important if you want to have another baby."

Guess that means we’ll be on baby bump watch for Milla. Judging by the above, an expanding belly could happen sooner rather than later!
