Miranda Lambert Dishes on 2013 CMA Awards: “It’s Blake’s Time” (VIDEO)

The 47th annual CMA Awards take place this Wednesday, November 6, and if all goes according to speculation, it could be the Blake Shelton/Miranda Lambert Show…again. The married duo have dominated the country music industry the past couple of years, and Miranda opened up to CMT about their string of successes:

“It’s amazing,” Mrs. Blake Shelton told CMT Hot 20 Countdown. “I don’t think we even realize what all has happened to us in the last year or two years. I’m ready to sort of sit back and Google myself and be like, ‘What have I been doing?’ All this great stuff’s been happening, and I haven’t even been able to enjoy myself because there’s so much other stuff going on.”

While Lambert is riding high with a successful Locked and Reloaded tour with Dierks Bentley, two chart-topping singles, a recent release of Pistol Annies’ sophomore album, and a second Pink Pistol retail store, she said she thinks it’s Blake’s time to shine.

“He really deserves to be in the spotlight right now,” Lambert said with obvious affection. “He’s making country music look great now on national television every week, and I just feel like it’s his time.”

Take that, breakup rumors!

Having been named as Entertainer of the Year for last year’s CMA’s and securing a nomination for the same category at this year’s awards, Blake is certainly no slouch in comparison to his wife. The pair have five nominations between them so it’s entirely possible the power couple could rule the night.

If a member of Team Blake wins The Voice for the fourth year running, what’s the next step for this unstoppable force? World domination? Only time will tell.

Are you hoping for a Shelton/Lambert sweep on Wednesday’s show?
