Miranda Lambert Fires Back Against Weight Loss Surgery Rumors

Miranda Lambert isn’t a stranger to tabloid stories. It’s rare that a month can go by without at least one shady story claiming she and hubby Blake Shelton are headed for a split. While she’s normally not one to address gossip about her, Miranda does draw the line somewhere, and it turns out that line is misinformation about her recent weight loss transformation.

Responding to a tabloid story claiming she used surgical methods to slim down, Miranda was compelled to set the record straight on her personal website. “I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way.”

We guess “watching what [you] eat and working out” doesn’t make much of a story, but that’s what Miranda cites as the secret to her success. She also fired back at the amount of weight the tabloid says she lost, saying even she doesn’t know!

“Like I have always said, it’s not about a scale, it’s about how you feel and how your jeans fit. And on November 10th when I turned 30, my skinny jeans were finally baggy! Mission accomplished!”

We’re so inspired by Miranda’s weight loss, but we’re even more inspired by her healthy attitude about body image. “I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size.”
