Miss the Old Daario on Game of Thrones? Here’s What He’s Doing Now

Unless you’ve been living under a charred rock in Astapor, you’ve probably heard by now that Ed Skrein is out as Daario on Game of Thrones, having been replaced by Michiel Huisman. Though Ed only spent one season on GoT, he wasn’t without his fans. So, what’s the handsome star up to these days?

If you’re a fan of Ed, we don’t think you have to worry about him disappearing from the spotlight anytime soon. Variety is reporting that the British actor has just scored a sweet gig as the replacement for action star Jason Statham’s character Frank Martin in the popular Transporter film series.

The new film is a reboot of the popular series, whose last installment earned over $100 million at the box office. The film will be produced by EuropaCorp, whose CEO Christophe Lambert says, “We searched everywhere to find a fresh face who had the potential to become an action movie star and we’ve found the right match with Ed Skrein, who’s not only a great actor but also has enough charisma and physical stamina to play Frank Martin with brio.”

Production on the new flick starts in June, with no word yet on a potential release date.
