Missing Mom Sherri Papini Discovered Chained & Beaten After 3 Weeks
Missing California mom Sherri Papini has been found — but she's in rough shape.
The 34-year-old was reportedly discovered on Thanksgiving morning, chained and beaten on the side of a road in Yolo County, California more than three weeks after she vanished while jogging in the area, according to the Sacramento Bee.
A 911 call placed by authorities upon discovering her described her as "heavily-battered." However, her injuries are apparently not life-threatening.
The mother-of-two was reunited with her husband Keith, and her sister Sheila Koester said her discovery resulted in the "most amazing Thanksgiving that our family could ever ask for."
The young wife and mother was first spotted by a woman who happened to be passing by where she was chained, who called authorities.
"I couldn’t stop in time to help you this morning but I did pull over and report to police that I saw you by the road and was certain you needed help," the woman wrote on Facebook.
Sherri disappeared about a mile from her home while out on a jog on November 2.
Police in the area are now searching for two women armed with a handgun whom the victim has indicated had a hand in her disappearance.
