Alec Baldwin Says 30 Rock Is ''Almost Over'' — Is He Moving on to Modern Family?

Fresh off his bazillionth (okay, sixth) SAG win for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, 30 Rock big business funnyman, Alec Baldwin, offered his services to another outstanding comedy: Modern Family.

"You know, my show is almost over," Alec reportedly told the Modern Family cast as they were getting a group photo taken after the awards. "I'm actually pitching myself to you guys."

Hmm... Was Alec being serious? Possibly. 30 Rock, once a dominate force on NBC's comedy schedule, hasn't been doing so well in the ratings lately. Although Alec told The Los Angeles Times that he "want[s] Season 7 really badly," there's no guarantee that it will happen — and even if it does, Modern Family will almost certainly still be on whenever 30 Rock does end. It's hard to imagine a better post-30 Rock job for Alec, or any comedian, than a role on the beloved Modern Family.
