We'll give the Parents Television Council this: the parents activist group — which disapproves of almost all the shows we love —  is ever-vigilant. Modern Family Season 3, Episode 13: “Little Bo Bleep” hasn't even aired yet, but PTC is already up in arms over the plotline about Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) accidentally learning the f-bomb.

While Lily never actually says the word — it's bleeped, and Aubry actually said "fudge" during filming — the PTC not amused by the joke.

"It is certainly in poor taste," Melissa Henson, director of communications and public education for the PTC, told FOX411. "The more we see and hear this kind of language on television, the more acceptable and common it will become in the real world."

It's not just the use of the word she objects to, of course: it's who's saying it. "It’s not suitable language for a child that young in the real world, and it’s not suitable language for a child that young on television, either.”

The PTC isn't alone in their objections. McKay Hatch, college student and founder of the No Cussing Club (which has an impressive 35,000 remembers across the US), is advocating to get the episode pulled from the air. "If we don't [stop the episode from airing], at least ABC knows that people all over the world don't want to have a 2-year-old saying the 'F-bomb' on TV," he explained.

Show creator Steve Levitan justified the "very natural story" to EW by pointing out that "as parents, we’ve all been through this."

We agree with Levitan: It's not appropriate for a young child to curse, but how parents deal with their kids learning bad words is an interesting question ripe for exploration. It fits perfectly with Modern Family's family-focused comedy, and since Aubrey didn't actually say the word, no two-year-olds were harmed in the making of this episode.
