It’s a lovely thing when art imitates life. And that’s exactly what will happen on Modern Family, now that Sarah Hyland’s (Haley) real-life boyfriend, Matt Prokop, has been cast as Haley’s newest love interest on the show.
Zap2It reports that Matt, who first met Sarah in 2009 at a casting call for High School Musical 3: Senior Year (can you believe she didn’t get a part?), will theoretically replace Haley’s ex-boyfriend Dylan, who drove Haley’s parents insane. We wonder if Matt’s character will be more of a Dunphy-approved goofball.
Even though Phil (Ty Burrell) might not be looking forward to meeting another one of Haley’s boyfriends, we’re definitely excited to see the very real chemistry between Matt and Sarah!
