We envisioned the sexy Sofia Vergara (Gloria) of Modern Family spending Valentine's Day feeding chocolate covered strawberries to her boyfriend Nick Loeb, but it looks like we were sadly mistaken.

The funny TV star was spotted out and about with a mystery man, who was wearing a black leather jacket and smoking a cigarette (badass much?).

Though the two grabbed dinner together at Nobu in West Hollywood, it's safe to assume the fellow was just a friend and that Sofia and Nick are going strong.

Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on ABC.
