Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s big wedding on Sunday wasn’t the first Bachelor wedding — and we hope it won’t be the last. But of the four weddings that have united the fine folks of Bachelor Nation, Jason and Molly Mesnick’s was one of the more memorable. And lucky for Wetpaint Entertainment, Molly gave us the scoop on some parts of SeanCat’s big day we didn’t get to see! Molls dished on some similarities and differences to her own — plus, what really happened at the reception!
Wetpaint Entertainment: It was odd for us to have commercial breaks in the middle of a live ceremony. Was it weird there? What did you do?
Molly Mesnick: The commercial breaks just felt like long pauses in the ceremony for us. Music would play [from wedding band 2Cellos] or it was a moment where Sean's dad [Jay Lowe, who officiated the wedding] asked us to take a "moment of silence" in prayer for them. It didn't feel as awkward for us as viewers might think.
That’s a relief. Your cutout dress was really gorgeous and unique. Who made it?
My dress was BCBG. It was so comfortable, too!
Fans were really disappointed that the reception wasn’t shown. Did anything nuts happen there?
Nothing too crazy happened at the reception. Everyone had a great time — I probably had too much fun, if you know what I mean. We ate, danced, and caught up with all of our old friends!
Sounds perfect. As a Bachelor wedding alum yourself, what were some major differences between Sean and Catherine’s, and your own in 2010?
Did you watch Jason and Molly’s rainy wedding? What were some of the major differences you noticed between SeanCat’s nuptials and the Mesnick marriage? Tell us below!
Well, this wedding was a bit different from ours for a few reasons. First, it was live. Second, it wasn't raining, and third, our reception was filmed, so it was probably a little more over-the-top, where as Catherine & Sean’s felt more intimate and simple. But this was a gorgeous wedding, and we were so happy to be there to help celebrate!
