We are all about spreading some inspiration here at Wetpaint Moms, and so when we came across this story of a 5-year-old terrier pup that was discovered nursing a kitten on WSFA, we felt the need to spread the love.

The pup is in good health, was recently groomed, and has a collar, but has yet to be claimed, and the kitten appears to be a stray. Anderson’s Animal Control explains that the dog appears to be experiencing a pseudopregnancy, producing a small amount of milk for what she feels is her puppy. While it’s not enough to sustain the adorable kitten, caretakers are bottle feeding her to supplement.

It’s no wonder the pooch thinks the friendly feline is hers, since they both share the same monochromatic color scheme, but it’s a wonder the high-pitched meows haven’t breached the baby’s cover. Or perhaps the maternal canine just feels that everyone deserves a chance at a healthy and happy life.

In that vein, caretakers hope the pair will be adopted together, and rightfully so, since they’ve formed such a strong family bond already.
