Channing Tatum is what every man wants to be and what every woman wants to be waiting for them in their bed at night. Those eyes, those muscles, and that new baby girl! Channing’s nearly 1-month-old baby girl is quickly becoming the light of his life, and he recently told Chelsea Handler all about the process it took for the little gem to get here. Well, from the delivery room, anyway.

“There is a real reason why God did not give us [men] the ability to have babies,” Channing said, “because we would not be able to do it. You guys, I don’t know how you do it. It’s a real thing. It’s like National Geographic animal style for real. Like I don’t get it.”

The 33-year-old White House Down star was not afraid to admit that he definitely cried more than a little on the day Everly was born — sometimes alone, sometimes around other people, but he honestly confessed to how scared he was that day.

“It’s like someone’s hurting someone you love and you can’t do anything about it,” he said. “Like, you physically cannot help.”

We imagine what it must be like to see your sweet wife build for nine months to this day, and then suddenly break down with pain. We imagine his wife of four years — actress and dancer Jenna Dewan-Tatum — was an absolute trooper. But it seems that although the birth of his girl was almost a month ago, Channing is still recovering from the shock of that day.

“I’m still not helping and the baby’s out,” he admits. But then again, he reflects, “Men are useless, but we are really useless during this. The baby’s gonna come out whether you’re there or not.” Truth.

But not only does Channing have his beautiful wife at his side now, he has a beautiful daughter whom he can dote on and kick her future boyfriends’ butts. He also just realized that he gets a little something extra out of the whole children deal: Father’s Day! Channing was able to celebrate the June holiday just two weeks after Everly arrived, but admits he hadn’t really thought about it until it all came together.

“I realized then that ‘Oh wow, I get a whole other holiday,’” he said. “I was like, this is great. I didn’t really think of it like that until I was getting gifts.”

Typical dude, but we love him nonetheless!
