Carole Middleton is one proud grandma! Kate Middleton’s mother and father, Carole and Michael Middleton, were the first official visitors to see the newborn royal baby at the hospital on Tuesday.

"He's absolutely beautiful," Carole expressed to reporters as she made her way out. "We are so thrilled. They are both doing really well."

Kate’s mom was sure right about the beautiful part! The world got its first look at the (as yet unnamed) baby boy when Kate Middleton and Prince William greeted the press before leaving London’s St. Mary’s Hospital. Being the pro that he already he is, the little guy even waved to the crowd!

One reporter inquired how it felt to hold her daughter's child for the first time, and Carole responded, "Amazing. It's all coming back!"

While there were initial reports that Carole and Kate’s sister, Pippa, would be joining the Duchess in the delivery room, it is believed that only William was present for the birth.
