Live streams from outside the doors of St. Mary’s Hospital in London finally revealed the moment we’ve all been waiting for: a first peek at the new royal baby boy, as Kate Middleton and Prince William held the baby in front of a festive and patiently waiting crowd. They both took some time to answer a few questions about the royal baby from the press — including whether they’ve decided on a name!
Looking like the perfect couple in matching baby blue outfits, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge graciously thanked the press for “waiting around all day” for the big baby reveal. As far the name that the world is waiting to hear, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little while longer. "We are still working on a name..." said the Duke.
A beaming Kate said that William had “done his first nappy already,” and that he did a good job of it, also. William offered that his royal heir has “got a good pair of lungs on him,” which makes us think that the newborn might have done a bit of crying on his first night in the world.
Kate looked absolutely radiant, especially for someone who just went through labor, saying, “It’s such a special time, any parent knows what this feeling feels like.”
Always the self-deprecating gentleman, Prince William said, “He’s got her looks, thankfully,” referring of course to the beautiful Duchess, adding this about their baby’s hair: “He’s got way more than me, thank God.” How cute!
The couple then went inside briefly before William promptly came back out with his newborn in a car seat. He then loaded the baby and the happy mum into a waiting black Land Rover and sped off for Kensington Palace.
