Kate Middleton and Prince William, the sweet British royals who welcomed their firstborn child yesterday, have been soaking in the quiet time together in the hospital before they reveal their royal baby to the world. That doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten all the people who helped make their special day possible. The couple released a statement earlier this morning thanking the hospital staff on the Prince of Wales website.
“We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received, read the official press release. “We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone — staff, patients and visitors — for their understanding during this time.”
Kate and Wills have decided to keep their child to themselves so far since his birth on Monday. The birth was revealed on the official Clarence House Twitter handle yesterday saying the child had been born healthy and both the mother and father are doing fine. William broke tradition and was with his wife in the delivery room while Kate’s mother Carole and sister Pippa — both thought to have plans to attend — were absent.
The Royal Baby Bump Watch has come to a close but the Royal Baby Watch is in full swing as the world waits patiently to catch the first glimpse of Kate and William’s brand new little prince.
