If you typically shun the idea of miracles in favor of scientific proof, we have a story that is going to knock your cynical socks off. Tony Yahle, a young father in Ohio, had been pronounced dead after his breathing was off and CPR that was performed on him had failed.
He had been declared dead for 45 minutes when his son came to his bedside and emotionally pointed to him, saying, “Dad, you’re not going to die today.” That’s when doctors saw a sign of a heartbeat.
As Tony’s son said, “It went from hopeless to hope in an instant.”
Tony’s cardiologist called the incident “beyond rare,” noting that, in his 20 years of practicing medicine, he’d neither seen nor heard of anyone being dead that long and then coming back to life.
Tony, himself, said there was no explanation for it in the medical sense, but it has certainly strengthened the faith of his family.
If this isn’t a miracle, we honestly don’t know what is! Perhaps a medical reason for the incident will be found but, in the meantime, we prefer to think a higher power was watching over this father.
