Jennifer Garner is the mom we all want to be. She's beautiful, talented, and spends most of her free time hanging out with her kids. It's no secret that she is the very definition of a supermom, and her recent interview in Allure solidifies it. The 41-year-old mom of three sat down to spill all the details on Ben Affleck's political aspirations and how she keeps her body looking 20 years old after three kids.
Jennifer says she was born to be a mom. Plain and simple. From the time she was little, she said she carried a baby doll with her everywhere she went, and she and a friend even started a babysitting service. “If you’d said to me, ‘You could be a mom or you could be anything else in the world,’ I would have been a mom,” the beautiful Butter star said.
While Jennifer is famous enough on her own, she is the other half of a serious power couple with her husband of eight years, Ben Affleck. While their romance is still very much alive, Jennifer says she's cautious when it comes to bringing her better half to red carpet events. "He's such a great date," Jennifer says. "But it can be too much. I think especially for women, they can really lose their identity and just become 'wife of.'"
We highly doubt that would ever happen with those two, although the rumors flying about Ben's piqued interest in politics could make things difficult for the actress who could potentially fall into the "senator's wife" category. When asked about the rumor that her hunky hubby has political aspirations, she said, “Right now [Ben] feels like he can do more good for people politically from outside the system. Would I be surprised if one day he did go into politics? No. But not now… I’m along for the ride.”
Along for the ride must mean more acting, as the busy mom is currently in the process of filming Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. While this role doesn't require any action scenes, Jennifer still likes to keep in shape, although it's become increasingly difficult after three kids — Violet, 7; Seraphina, 4; and Samuel, 1. Jennifer says she’s been working with the same trainer (Valerie Waters) for 13 or 14 years. “I’ll do different things,” Jennifer says. “I did Spin for a little while, and I like yoga. I’ve been doing Pilates with this woman who was trying to get my abs back in shape after the last baby kind of did me in.” As for dieting, she admits, "There were times I had to watch every calorie that went into my body. Doing something like that again... it's not exactly on the top of my list,"
We hear you! It's nice to hear from a real woman that she's happy trying different things. It almost gives us the inspiration to jump back into exercising... almost.
