A tragic act of violence occurred this morning at a Houston, Texas, high school that left one student dead and three others injured. According to KHOU Houston, police were called to Spring High School early this morning after reports of an altercation between students in the school cafeteria.
Joshua Broussard, a 17-year-old sophomore student, was fatally stabbed. Three other students were rushed to area hospitals. At least one 16-year-old student has been listed in critical condition, according to the New York Daily News.
Harris County Sheriff's Department has reported that they have taken three other students into custody.
The school was promptly placed in lockdown , but many parents were furious that they weren’t contacted until three hours after the incident occurred. Hundreds of students and parents surrounded the school to observe the police investigation.
