If we ever went to New York Fashion Week, we’d totally try to pull off the mile-high stilettos, the chic clutch, and maybe even the oversized sunnies to make people think we’re super important. On second thought, we couldn’t pull it off, but one celeb kid knows that just being yourself looks best, anyway!
Liv, Julianne Moore’s 11-year-old daughter with director husband Bart Freundlich, wore an impressively age-appropriate black dress with white skull, diamond, and triangle details and a pair of well-loved black combat boots. The fair skinned beauty let her long red locks cascade over her shoulders, and struck an adorable pose for cameras with her lookalike 52-year-old star momma.
Back in 2010, Julianne told People about her experience raising kids: “Kids get to be about 7 years old and suddenly they’re like, ‘Hey, I’m taller than this kid,’ ‘My teeth are kind of big’ or ‘I don’t like my ears’ or this or that or the other thing and it just breaks your heart because you’re like, ‘No, oh my gosh you’re perfect. How could you not think that?’”
We totally get where she’s coming from. It can be the worst when kids start coming into their own and begin noticing their reflection more often. That’s actually one topic that Julianne has been all over, even creating a series of children’s books about self acceptance called Freckleface Strawberry. We wonder who the inspiration was?
While we don’t know what the process was like before the tween landed on that adorable dress and boots, we can say that Liv looks absolutely beautiful and that she could totally rock a burlap sack if she wanted to!
