Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s son Jaden is flexing his know-it-all muscle on Twitter and claiming that school is making our nation less intelligent. Given that this young man is only 15 years old, we have serious doubts that he knows what he’s talking about, but we fear for the youth who follow the young actor.
“School Is The Tool To Brainwash The Youth,” read one of Jaden’s prolific tweets from Thursday. “If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society,” read another. He also described how he informed a friend of his that he “turned 15 long ago” when the friend bade him a happy birthday, which we can only assume is his way of essentially referring to himself as The Wise One.
We find this interesting, especially when we think back to the conversation Will Smith had with Access Hollywood back when he and Jaden were promoting After Earth. The conversation was centered around why Will and Jada decided to not punish their kids. As Will explains, their “experimental” parenting technique says that if their kids can explain why their decision was the right one to make, then they won’t be punished.
So if Jaden could successfully argue why he didn’t have to go to school, would his power couple parents permit him to drop out? He seems to have quite an argument stacked up already on this thought, so we wonder how the Smith family is handling it?
How would you handle it if your kids suddenly decided that school was ruining society? Please, get creative!
