We have a love/hate relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow. On the one hand, we totally respect her for growing her Goop empire and living such a clean lifestyle, but on the other hand, some of the reports of having her kids on a strict diet and selling bikinis for babies has rubbed us the wrong way. However you feel about the 40-year-old Iron Man 3 actress, who has a new movie coming out called Thanks for Sharing, when she’s at home with her kids, she struggles with the same issues as the rest of us.

Gwyneth is featured on the cover of October’s Australian issue of Marie Claire, and in the accompanying interview, she opened up about her childhood, raising daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7, and a few of her parenting woes. “Last night, I was talking about [the kids growing up] with my husband,” Gwyneth says, adding, “it gets more complicated. The problems are getting more serious and I noticed that they need me more now than even when they were very little. My daughter, for example, who is super-intelligent, asks me [tough] questions! I feel I have to constantly be by her side."

We hear ya, Gwynnie, but don’t expect those conversations to get any easier anytime soon! With her kids just on the cusp of their tween years, we’re guessing she’s still experiencing the calm before the storm!
