We find it hard to believe that somebody as perfectly gorgeous as Jessica Alba had problems with her self-image, but apparently it’s true. The 32-year-old actress, business owner, and mom to daughters Honor, 5, and Haven, 2, with handsome hubby Cash Warren told Health that she’s annoyed with herself for not taking more advantage of her younger, pre-kid bod when she had the chance.
The chestnut-haired beauty said, “I was a lot more critical of my body when it was probably pretty awesome. It's like, why did I not ever wear jean shorts? That's so crazy. I was so skinny! I didn't have any cellulite ... What was I thinking?!"
Now, you and I both know that Jessica could still throw on a pair of booty shorts and walk around L.A. flashing the underbutt to end all underbutt and still look amazing, but now that she’s a mom, she has probably turned the tide on flaunting her body to the entire world. However, even though she’s not sporting booty shorts, she is incredibly stunning in a skin-tight flaming red dress on the magazine’s October cover.
Critiquing some of her past outfit choices for not being daring enough, the actress and owner of the eco-conscious Honest line of home and beauty products has this refreshing take on herself: “Now I'm a lot more confident in my skin — because who cares? At the end of the day, it's so much time spent on something that really doesn't matter that much."
One thing that did matter to this hot mama was bouncing back post-baby in record time. She famously wore a double corset after the birth of both girls, and although it was controversial at the time, Jessica had no problem with the haters. She says, “Who wouldn’t? Your muscles are completely stretched. It gets the muscle memory going quicker. It's just to get your body back. Because everything is everywhere!”
Hey moms, did your post-baby body make you want to time warp back to your younger physique, or did you embrace the changes?
