We’ll admit it, we just love Jimmy Fallon. Since welcoming the birth of his daughter Winnie via surrogate in July with wife Nancy Juvonen, this late-night host with the most has become even more adorable in our eyes, which we didn’t even think was possible. Whether he’s dishing about fatherhood with Ben Affleck, or just engaging in an epic lip sync battle with Stephen Merchant and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, we just think he’s the bee’s knees.
In a recent episode, Jimmy sat down with members of The Roots and a room full of precious muppets to sing the Sesame Street theme song, and it just melted our hearts. The song’s interpretation by the hip-hop band par excellence playing kiddie instruments is an amazing tribute, especially when they do the amazing rap right in the middle.
After watching so many episodes of the show growing up, and now getting to enjoy it with our own kids, we’ll admit it, we did tear up a little. Maybe Jimmy feels the same nostalgia, now that he’s a new dad? We’re so jealous of baby Winnie. We bet she gets her handsome daddy to sing to her every night. What a lucky kid!
