Janet Jackson, the 47-year-old little sister of the deceased King of Pop, is “looking into” adopting a child from Syria or Jordan, a source recently confirmed to Us Weekly.
"She now pretty much knows pregnancy is not in the cards, so she's been looking into adopting," the source says. "She's been very moved by the events in Jordan and Syria now that she's been living overseas. Not sure how soon it will happen, but there's been movement on this."
Given the fact that Janet grew up with a large family and her secret marriage to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana that was revealed back in February, it’s no wonder the youngest member of the Jackson Five is looking into expanding her family.
Page Six reports that the couple may be interested in adopting at least two children. “Janet has always been concerned about the welfare of the world’s children and it’s important to her that she affords a baby the opportunities that have been afforded her,” the source said.
We couldn’t be more thrilled for Janet and her husband. It may have taken her a while to get there, but to finally have reached the point of wanting her own kids is such a wonderful state of mind. The fact that she may be looking into adopting from a war-stricken country to boot is even more amazing! We wish the couple all the best and hope to see Janet with a baby on the hip soon!
