You’d think that she’d have her eyes on an entirely different prize, but Hillary Clinton admits that what would make her the happiest would be having a grandbaby to call her own. Hillary’s daughter Chelsea revealed in a recent Glamour magazine interview that her mother — the former U.S. Secretary of State — asks the couple when there will be grandchildren “daily.”
It sounds like the potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate may get her wish sooner than she thinks. Chelsea, who has been happily married to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky since 2010, also told Glamour that she’s been thinking about adding to the family ever since her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Rodham, passed away two years ago.
As devastating as that loss was to Chelsea, she says it prompted the couple to devise some plans for the future. "The first thing on the list was simple: We want, God willing, to start a family. So we decided to make 2014 the Year of the Baby," Chelsea says, adding, tongue firmly planted in cheek,"And please call my mother and tell her that."
We’re sure the grandma-to-be will be thrilled with Chelsea’s plan. You better be serious, Chelsea, because we’re pretty sure Hillary is one lady who’s used to getting her own way!
