We love a good military homecoming story and/or video, and today’s installment from The Stir does not disappoint. U.S. Air Force airman Justin Bradley surprised his wife by hopping on the first plane home when he found out she was in labor. Fortunately for him (but perhaps not for her!), Justin’s wife spent 23 hours in labor (ouch), so the airman was able to not only surprise his wife but catch the birth of their first baby.
As any woman knows, labor is a well-earned term, as it’s both physically and emotionally draining, and the look on Justin’s wife’s face when he enters says it all. They embrace and she cries (before she gets reprimanded for taking off her oxygen mask!), and the whole thing is just heartwarming.
Have you ever surprised someone or been surprised by someone who was deployed? Tell us about it below!
