Eminem hasn’t had a very steady personal life, but when it comes to his kids, he is always there. Case in point: the 40-year-old “Berzerk” singer was recently in attendance as his daughter Hailie Jade Scott won homecoming queen at her high school in Michigan.
Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, has only one biological daughter in Hailie and two other adopted children. Hailie’s mom, Kimberly Anne Scott, was married to Eminem twice and divorced him twice, but that didn’t stop him from adopting Whitney, Scott’s child from a previous relationship, and Alaina, Kim’s sister’s child. He is also the legal guardian of Nathan, his younger half-brother.
It would make sense that Eminem would be willing to take on the responsibility for so many kids, given his fame and fortune, but Hailie’s recent success was earned all on her own.
One parent in attendance at Chippewa Valley High School’s crowning told the local Macomb Daily, "Hailie came out with her mother Kim [Scott] when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn't want to cause a scene — he wanted Hailie to have her own moment.”
